I just changed me radiatior on my gt and it is much thicker now because it is the radiator with the auto tranny cooler on it. At first i was running prestone 50/50 mix in it and now i am running the Advance auto 50/50 crap and my car is getting much hotter. i noticed this when i ran my car on a dyno and put 150 to the ground when the oil was around 200 degrees and when it got up around 250 it it only put 120 to the ground. I read in the latest import tuner that optimum oil temp is between 200 and 220. I was wondering what all i could do to get the temp down. Does anyone have any suggestions?

150 whp on a 5sfe? What mods do you have?
As for your question, you can install an aftermarket oil cooler. Try newcelica.org. Many gts 7th gens get them. However, you shouldn't need one for the 5sfe. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
