Hey guys...
I have a 95 coupe and am looking for some body kit options. I purchased a complete Invader Kit and have installed the front bumper, and sideskirts. However, the rear bumper was complete shiz-zy. I spent about 20 hours and $60 in fiberglass materials and the project ended up in the trash. Either the mold or something was horrible because it did not match up with anything (the taillights, rear panel, I do know that for it to fit the coupe it needed to be extended 2 inches in either side but still, it looked horrible). SO now to the point. I need some ideas for either bumpers or extensions for the rear bumper of a COUPE and will fit without hourrs of complications. I am so mad right now that I have wasted near $250 on a crappy bumper on my already tight body budget.... Please help...Images or links to such would be super awesome! -------------------- Armed? you got any pictures of that rear bumper? depending on how bad it is maybe it would be cheaper to have a shop fit it rather than buying another one
also I don't know that a invader rear for coupe exists. I've heard it mentioned but I don't know of anyone who purchased it and fit it without some modifying |

Well I had chopped the sides off and extended them two inches to get it to fit and it eventually did. But where the bumper met the lights and the rear panel was horrible. The rear panel would not fit at all, and I took it too a few shops, and they said the only way to get it to fit in below the rear panel would be to mold the shape of the original bumper and then fiberglass that and chop it onto the invader rear. Its hard to explain it but pretty much where the bumper has a dip in the top where the rear panels sits in it, the shape was no where near to that of the rear panel - very crappy bumper. The shops estimated at least 400-500 dollars to chop up the bumper, mold it to fit and put it on.
Ive had enough with this bumper and wasted enough time. I currently have my car in pieces because I am repainting it myself (im a broke ass mofo) and I have my car sanded down to metal but havent been able to move on to the etching primer because I have been trying to deal with this bumper. Rather than waste more time and a lot more money trying to get this bumper to work witht he coupe, I went and bought some hiro extensions from chrisc just this evening, so hopefully they will fit perfectly... It is really too bad that not really any kits at all are made for the coupes...kinda sucks for us coupe guys though theres not as many of us as hatches I guess... Sort of off topic, but I was curious as to whether or not the aftermarket JDM tailights fit a coupe, I figured if my car is a part and I am doing all this work I should put them on. -------------------- Armed?
