I just changed me radiatior on my gt and it is much thicker now because it is the radiator with the auto tranny cooler on it. At first i was running prestone 50/50 mix in it and now i am running the Advance auto 50/50 crap and my car is getting much hotter. i noticed this when i ran my car on a dyno and put 150 to the ground when the oil was around 200 degrees and when it got up around 250 it it only put 120 to the ground. I read in the latest import tuner that optimum oil temp is between 200 and 220. I was wondering what all i could do to get the temp down. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did the dyno shop have fans to direct air into the radiator? could be you are just stressing the cooling system if there is not enough airflow across the radiator.
Otherwise, you should run a full synthetic oil like Amsoil, its been known to reduce oil temps switching to full synthetic. |
