I'm planning on doing some new stuff with my security system in the near future, and I was curious about how exactly a siren chirps on lock and unlock.
Does the alarm brain just send two quick +12 volt pulses to the siren output on unlock? Or are they a different voltage, or what? I'd go out and test the siren on my car with a multimeter, but my siren is incredibly hard to access(and so is my alarm brain.) So I'm hoping someone can help me out. ![]() Thanks, Christian Coomer -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

well if u have the DEI siren it is 12 volts that go through the certain resistors that make the diffrent sounds. you can open up a DEI siren and cut the sounds u dont like.
