I'm planning on doing some new stuff with my security system in the near future, and I was curious about how exactly a siren chirps on lock and unlock.
Does the alarm brain just send two quick +12 volt pulses to the siren output on unlock? Or are they a different voltage, or what? I'd go out and test the siren on my car with a multimeter, but my siren is incredibly hard to access(and so is my alarm brain.) So I'm hoping someone can help me out. Thanks for the help.
I've got four sirens at the moment...an Alpine, an Autopage, a universal(don't know what brand), and this other one...I forgot the name, but it's crazy loud and plays multiple siren tones at once and sounds like multiple sirens. But anyway, as long as +12 volt pulses are sent from the alarm brain, I'll be fine. Thanks again. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
