Why can't 20s fit if some of you guys got the 19s to fit. Dont tell me they cant, prove it to me. Has anybody actually bought some and they didn't fit? I want 20s

I have new 17's with 215/45/17 tires on them, but there about 1.5 inches bigger diamitar then my stock wheels/tires that are on now, when i bought them they assured me that they where the right size for my car, but my current wheels/tires make my speedo accurate how can a bigger diamitar tire be ok, ( i know my speedo is right because i drive by those radar guns that post your speed and its dead on. I think 40 profiiels are right for 17's not 45, and that means that 35's are right for 18's.
