Thanks to Doug and rjb23 for experimenting with other short shifters (Doug-EVO and rjb23-7th gen). I recieved mine (7th gen about $45 on ebay) and installed. It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. I downloaded the instructions from TWMs website and read the ones in the how to articles.
I have to say the throw is much much shorter and about 1-2 inches lower than stock. My finger are kinda close to the dash but I think it is because I only used 2 of the 4 spacers (the back 2) plus I have big hands. I will put some pics up when I put the other 2 spacers in. batman, would it be possible for you to post pictures of how low it is and how close to the dash the shifter is in gear? Im assuming when you say its close you mean when its in 1st, 3rd, 5th gear.
