Thanks to Doug and rjb23 for experimenting with other short shifters (Doug-EVO and rjb23-7th gen). I recieved mine (7th gen about $45 on ebay) and installed. It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. I downloaded the instructions from TWMs website and read the ones in the how to articles.
I have to say the throw is much much shorter and about 1-2 inches lower than stock. My finger are kinda close to the dash but I think it is because I only used 2 of the 4 spacers (the back 2) plus I have big hands. I will put some pics up when I put the other 2 spacers in. Bottom line, this this rocks - great mod for $45. This post has been edited by Batman722: Mar 29, 2005 - 12:24 AM -------------------- |

QUOTE(soltrain @ Mar 29, 2005 - 2:22 AM) pictures are so sexy. so you just followed the install as if it was a twm shifter? no other mods necessary? and it feels better/shorter throws? how could anyone justify an extra $100 for a twm shift? or 100+ for trd which shifter did you buy? a no name one? yes, just like the TWM no other mods necessary feels better, shorter, awesome there are no other aftermarket ones for 6 gens like there are for the 7th gen cheapest one I could find on ebay (they all looked the same) ebay one ![]() TWM one ![]() This post has been edited by Batman722: Mar 29, 2005 - 2:56 AM -------------------- |
