QUOTE(monky32 @ Apr 1, 2005 - 11:50 AM) mac i checked my oil when my engine was cold and showed that i had just barely a quarter of oil which doesn't make sense because i checked the floor for oil spots and i didn't find any. when i got my car had 60000 miles and i've been using syn oil since plus i don't race my car so i just don't understand why this is happening. thanks for your replies!!!! Wait... a quarter of oil? Dude, the dipstick Lo to Hi range only covers about a quart of oil. If it is pegged on the bottom edge of Lo, then you are only one quart low. Just because it hits Lo doesn't mean you're running dry. It means you've burned one quart. |
