I bought 4 6.5" Premier's. I took apart my door panel. My stock speaker itself is a 6.5, however theres metal surrounding it holding the speaker which mounts to the door... it's a lot bigger than 6.5. Basically, my new 6.5's arent big enought o screw onto the stock holes, they dont reach. Any ideas? I saw Coomer on the forums saying we can make the brackets ourselves using MDF...what's that?(dumb question)... For now, I'm sawing off the old speaker from the bracket and glueing on the new on to the bracket so that it screws on(i REALLY don't want to do this...). Any ideas?

im not sure if that will be a good idea..... the fumes and chemicals from the JB weld may cause the speakers surround to deteriorate over time.. i am not sure though...... liquid nails and silicone will do this if you dont let your sub box dry Completely before putting subs in....
also good luck.. keep us posted This post has been edited by Scarrell: Apr 3, 2005 - 10:08 PM -------------------- i want a stereo so loud, it blows womens clothes off.
