i've been hearing stories how cars are very easily stolen.

they first pull the cable in the grill to pop the hook. then disconnect the battery. After that, they can by pass the start kill switch with a wire from the battery to the starter. or push start the car.

You really can't do much once your battery is disconnect.

best way to prevent your car from getting stolen is to get a fuel pump cut switch and install it in a hidden place. The car will not start unless you flip the switch to the on position. Cost of the mod will be $10.

You can use a relay to do the same thing...then you don't have to deal with a switch.

You can also use a clutch switch kill switch/relay.

You can also install a hood pin so that as soon as your hood pops, the alarm goes off.

You can re-route the hood cable.

You can buy a hood lock.

Use battery-backup sirens and a battery backup on the brain.

Leave the car in gear, get a tilt sensor...it makes it harder to steal your car with a tow truck.

Get a quick release steering wheel and take the wheel off when you go somewhere.

Get multiple sirens, some horns(like 10 ) from junkyard cars, and hook them all up. Make it so that your car will be heard for miles.

There are lots of ways to make a car secure. If a thief really wants your car though, they'll get it. It's all about layers of security though. If you make it hard to break into your car, chances are the thief will move on to the next car that's easier to take.
