well i'm driving my friend back to her house tonite... we just curising listing to the then all of a sudden the C E L comes on... i'm like what the fook .. pull into a gass staation pop the hood everthign sound good .. the engine is not over heating ... the oil is like honey .. and atthe proper level ... can't see any leaks.. belts look fine... so i turn off the car and let is site for a few minutes.. see if cooling the engine down a bit helps... well start the car back up ... the C E L is still on so i'm like Fook it ... and head out of the gas station .. then at the next light the C E L goes off... damn my really starting to hate my car.. any one want to buy it?

Dude, it's nothing. Mine went through a brief spell where it did that. Like a year ago, it came on twice and I checked the code. Throttle position sensor malfunction. About a week ago I finally pulled the fuse to reset it and that light hasn't come back on to re-report it... At least on our cars it shuts off eventually. My wife's crappy Xterra CEL won't shut off even if the problem has fixed itself. You have to reset it with an OBDII reader.
