 Intake plug????, what is it? |

I just recently installed a cold air intake on my GT (works great by the way), and when i was taking out my air box, i noticed there was a plug that went into the back of it, but i could never figure out what it was, and ever since my "check engine" light has been on. Does anybody know what it is? Is it important? How do I make my light go off?

i took mine off my car my light never came on and i never had a problem ever
