Tonight or tomorrow I'm going to try to get a hoist from a friend for the weekend and attempt to pull my engine to the point where it will move around so that I can get the rear mount in.
To do this, I need the engine to be free of all the mounts so it can twist just a bit. Now here's my question. First I'll show the pic. Can I simply attach chains to those two brackets to support the engine and move it around a bit while I get the mount in?

coomer, yes those are the 2 hooks for taking an engine out. thats all you need to connect. just make sure u have a chain that can support the weight and an engine lift.
the way you are trying to do these mounts is kind of wrong, tho. you need the drop that horizontal crossmemeber 1st. normally when puting an engine in, you want to do the tranny mount 1st (right) the timing belt one 2nd (left) then the rear and the front. once you have that hoizontal crossmember down, you can fit that mount right in there and then bolt everything back on. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
