Is there any way to tell if the celica I m driving is cali spec or normal USDM? Something in the Vin # maybe?
I just ordered some parts for my parent's Camry, the new o2 sensor doesnt fit. SO I called the dealer, give them the vin and they told me that my parent's Camry is Cali spec and the normal o2 sensor dont fit. Then I said my parents got the car brand new from New Jersey. Dealer said Toyota dont care, they sent Cali spec cars all over the country. So theres a chance you could be driving a cali spec celica even though you not anywhere close to CA. I can't remember but I thought the Cali Celicas had a CA number on the motor.
