Decideing against engine swapping a 3SGTE into my 96 Celica ST or just selling it and buying a 3,000$ 1st gen 6bolt Talon TSi AWD.
What would the best bang for the buck be? I just want to do 13's and I'll be happy. Also, on a scale of 1 - 10, how difficult is the engine swap from someone that doesnt know much about engines in general? I really dont know what to do for my next car. This 110 horsepower isnt cutting it anymore. |

QUOTE(Supersprynt @ Apr 11, 2005 - 8:53 PM) cough, crankwalk, cough. Wont happen lol, getting a 6bolt, 1990-1993 DSM. No CW like 7's I was thinking that as well, get the 6bolt, do all the tune up and repair/maintence in the book it says to do. Then rebuild the thing, so it doesnt break on me. Im going to stick with the stock 14b turbo and not going above the stock 16 psi. Hoping to buy a virgin and just do these mods: The free mods, remove the air restrictor, etc...little things New exhaust manifold (stock one is probably rusted all to hell) New 3" turbo catback High flow catalytic converter, with a higher flowing unit 2.5" High flow downpipe Better flowing 02 sensor housing 190 fuel pump K&N intake filter, and new hard intake pipe Boost gauge Manual boost controller Short shifter then a new performance clutch when the stock one goes out This post has been edited by StaticKnotX: Apr 11, 2005 - 5:50 PM |
