allright here's the deal. i have just recently thrown a ct26 twin entry turbo in my 5sfe. there wasn't any piping hooked up cuz i was gonna drive it to this guys house for him to make me one. so when i finally got done fixing all of the leaks i let the car run for like 10 mins to break the turbo in a bit. so all is going well the turbo isn;t leaking any oil at this point when i gave her a lil gas from the butterfly valve still no oil so i'm like awesome man i did it. so i get in and start to drive and the turbo is all spoolin makin it's sexy noise. so then i start seeing some smoke and i'm like ohh **** wastegate.. i didn't open it since there isn't a pipe going from the turbo to the intake manifold so i pull over and there is oil everywhere under my engine. so i start it up again to try to find where the leak is comming from and giver her a lil gas and i notice oil is spuing out from the turbo shooting upward towards the hood. so my guess i basically just blew the turbo and gonna need a rebuild???
thanks guys -------------------- ![]() |
