I don't think Hondas in general are rice, IMO rice is just taking any beater and trying to turn it into a race car by throwing a trash can under the bumper and putting this huge wing on it (who needs a 4 inch exhaust on a N/A motor), plus a Civic would need a pretty nice suspension to hang with a Celica on a track, (circuit). I think Civics are bashed because they aren't even sports cars, S2000 is a sports car, a Civic is a poor college kid car and that is why they became so common, take the same year Celica GT and Civic EX and you will almost always pay more for the Celica since it's a sports car. Plus for some reason our government decided to pick on Toyota when importing them into America (i.e. lack of the 3S, stop selling the Supra). I know Honda makes the Si but it's just a Civic with a little better motor in it, i'll still run with a stock one doesn't matter what year, that 160 hp is way over rated.
