Just got through a long winter and I was washing my car yesterday and noticed rust!!! What should I do?!?! Please help me out, I already got touch-up paint from toyota.. here are some pics...

You have to sand the rust spots to the bare metal surface removing it ALL. If it the rust has eaten completely through the metal, you will have to rig a patch (probably would involve some slight welding if you have to patch it) then you would grind the welding spots off, bondo if there are low spots (no deeper than 1/8 of an inch), sand everything smooth, then prime and seal it and then touch up paint.
If you just touch up over the rust it wont do anything, only hide the damage for a little while, and risk worsening the rust there is and possibly spread it. This post has been edited by celicaboy04: Apr 15, 2005 - 4:13 PM -------------------- Armed? Armed with what?
