I never talk about my ex girlfriends, but most girls ive been with always love to talk about how great the ex where. I wonder if they are just trying to make me feel bad or something.

They do it to make you jealous, to make sure that you are with them and that you want to be with them. It's a way of self assurance for them. That's all. As long as she doesn't actually cheat on you with the ex, don't worry about it. If it gets really bad then tell her you'd rather not talk about them or change the subject.
