Just wondering..., How did u get ur knowledge? Options

How did everybody here get into mechanics, bodywork, electricals or whatever? Did u read that stuff up on the internet? or were u raised by car lovers? Just wondering and curious to know how everybody gets their knowledge of cars.

my dad tought me the basics, and I just grew from that, reading stuff online, or just talking to other car people. Electrical stuff I learved from my uncle and from the net as well, but mostly from a trial and error kinda thing, I learned a lot from the frist car I ever owned, a 88 civic HB, I did a lot to it and then re-did a lot to it, you dont really know anything untill you try if for youself, you can learn just as much from a failure as a succsess.

working on cars or anything takes an ability to figure things out, you have to have the "nak" for it, or you lost. no book can tell you exactly what you need to know, they can only help guide you, the rest is up to your abiltiy to figure it out for youself.
