I am buying a '94 STX with 147,000 miles from a friend for a skinny $1800. I had my mechanic check it out and he said its in suprisingly good shape, but needs things like a full tune up, alignment, rear brakes, CV boot replacement, and a tranny flush. I plan on telling the friend Ill take it for $1600, due to the work I'll need to put into it. What do you all think?? Its really in good shape, considering its mileage. Thanks!

P.S. The girl I'm buying from doesn't realize how good of a deal she is giving me hahaha tongue.gif

I meant suprisingly good as in over all for the mileage... and for the price. The girl who is selling the car to me probably doesnt even know what a radiator is, so she isnt jipping me on anything, for sure haha... The mechanic is the most trustworthy guy ever, so I know he isnt either. Ive had him check all my cars out before I buy them. So if I get the beautiful black beauty for $1600 and then put 700 or so worth of maintenence into it to have it purring like new, it would be soooo worth it. I'll post some pics when I get it if anyone cares to see it.
