What are your opinions about drilling for oil in the Alaskain Wildlife Refuge? I don't know a lot about what it will actually do for us. I heard something crazy like thousands of barrells of oil a day. Personally, I find it outrageous that they would even consider it. I would much rather pay my extra 20 cents per gallon than see us drilling in a refuge. True, it will make us not dependant on international oil, but so what. That refuge is there to protect the wildlife and environment. It doesn't give people the right to drill for oil because they're mad about rising gas prices. That's just my personal opinion. I just want to know what you think about it.

the only reason that oil hasnt been pumped out is that its being kept as a reserve
what if 20 years down the road, oil wells start to dry up? or OPEC gets pissed off and puts an emargo on the US? well, we have that oil up there. i think instead of paying taxes at the pump, that it should be based on the vehicle, SUV's and trucks use up the most gas, they should have a yearly gas guzzler tax instead of one time at new purchase of the SUV/truck that would drop gas prices 20 cents, and all of the US should adopt the same gas everywhere, to help keep the price the same all across the country, its stupid that CA has the crappiest gas with nearly the highest prices. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
