What are your opinions about drilling for oil in the Alaskain Wildlife Refuge? I don't know a lot about what it will actually do for us. I heard something crazy like thousands of barrells of oil a day. Personally, I find it outrageous that they would even consider it. I would much rather pay my extra 20 cents per gallon than see us drilling in a refuge. True, it will make us not dependant on international oil, but so what. That refuge is there to protect the wildlife and environment. It doesn't give people the right to drill for oil because they're mad about rising gas prices. That's just my personal opinion. I just want to know what you think about it.

What about the drilling in Texas or Louisiana, we have only used 1/3rd of the oil in those reserves. Drilling there will not make a difference since it is still cheaper to buy oil from the middle east than to hire people here to drill. Think about it on a business level, if the US pays our drillers $10 per hour to drill, over there they will pay $5 per hour to drill. The only problem I have is there is no crisis, Bush owns half of the middle east and half the oil there, but he's making money off our ignorance and backs. I was a Marine and when I found out what was really going on I kicked myself, those troops aren't fighting for anyones freedom, they're guarding oil fields and pipelines.I feel bad for my friends who are still there because it's meaningless. I wasn't making $425 every two weeks to make that a** another million.
