with a T3 50 trim .48 a/r w/internal wastegate
running a daily 1-2 psi and a "race" of 10-15psi with an intercooler with dimensions of 24.5" x 12" x 3" controlled by a Profec E-01 (oh and i'm using a honda b16 Turbo manifold for the interest sake) #1 can i do the 10-15psi range without issues? #2 is it better to run external or internal wastegate with this setup, whats the difference #3 is this intercooler sufficient enough to run the boost i'm using as the intercooler will be located in my fender as a SMIC #4 the E-01 should be the only "controller" i'll need to run my system? cause i will need to have the ability to switch boost levels on the fly, along with the needed engine control thanks This post has been edited by playr158: Apr 23, 2005 - 6:52 PM |

if you knew....
the b16 turbo manifold has the pipes close enough where all you need to do is cut off the flange and reweld the 7afe flange onto the manifold that way it will work...NIk is already doing it 1)1. i wouldnt try too much over 10psi. 1-2psi daily is a joke, i dont even think they make wastegate springs that are below 3.5psi answer: with my motor build i can easily obtain 10psi without worrying and basically what i ment by 1-2 was the lowest setting possible 2. external is more precise and consistant control. for your setup, its not needed, but it is the better, and more $$$ option answer: thanks i'll go external then 3. intercooler is a good size, more than you will ever need with out massive engine work, but how the hell will you fit that in the fender? oh massive engine work doesn't begin to explain it... ![]() and how trust me i can 4. E-01 is a boost controller. it wont do anything engine management wise unless you run a Greddy Eman e-01 is more then a boost if you even read what is on their site |
