What are your opinions about drilling for oil in the Alaskain Wildlife Refuge? I don't know a lot about what it will actually do for us. I heard something crazy like thousands of barrells of oil a day. Personally, I find it outrageous that they would even consider it. I would much rather pay my extra 20 cents per gallon than see us drilling in a refuge. True, it will make us not dependant on international oil, but so what. That refuge is there to protect the wildlife and environment. It doesn't give people the right to drill for oil because they're mad about rising gas prices. That's just my personal opinion. I just want to know what you think about it.

Part of the problem with drilling in Alaska is that no one knows exactly how much oil is there. But there do need to be advances in alternative fuel sources and hybrid vehicles. If the German's could have hydrogen powered tanks in World War II why can't we make one now? The taxes on oil is the only reason that we don't have more hybrid vehicles now.
