 removing mudflaps |

i'm gonna remove my mudflaps, but i'm kinda scared that rocks / sh*t will shoot up and chip the car, anyone with their mudflaps removed have this problem? or is it not that big of a deal?

I have had them off for several months and noticed no increase in chips. Maybe a lil dirtier, but no damage.
