i took some video of my modded WRX tonight. i have a couple, i will upload the ones you guys want tomorrow morning hopefully.
i got 0-90mph with my friend in the back seat trying to film the speedo. its not the best, and he's also a big guy, so he slows my car down a noticable bit, but you get the point. then i got 0-90mph from outside the car, you see me launch this time as opposed to a soft rolling start in the first. i use launch control, but unfortuneately where i launched was uneven, so the car is very slowly rolling forward, it sorta makes it look like a slow launch, but when the car really moves is when i launched then i got a 40mph to 125mph pull. only problem with this vid is that the only time you see the speedo is to let you know that i am starting at 40mph(camera man was in the passenger seat, from there you can only see up to 80mph anyways) then the camera just faces forward. i call it out when i hit 110 and 120 and then let off and slow down after hitting 125mph. [right][snapback]277831[/snapback][/right] coomer- thats my launch control. the UTEC(ECU piggyback) cuts ignition at 5500rpm, making for a hard rev limit. it is unburnt fuel, but while im doing it, my EGT's right off the cylinder head are only 550 deg C. the car was making 10psi of boost sitting at the line. what engine management did your friend have? lagos- my utec also has floor shift thanks to the launch control. right when i press the clutch, the revlimter at 5500rpm is activated, only i am at around 7krpm when i shift, so all ignition is cut, preventing over revving. i keep the gas pedal down the whole time, BOV doesnt go off, no compressor surge, and no lost boost between shifts, when i shift slow enough i can actually hear the turbo start to spool down. as for the SC sound, that was the best way i could describe it to people online. reminds me of when i test drove a lightning -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
