I am going to be installing an AEM with wideband and need an extra space for a 52mm guage. I am somewhat fanatical about maintaining a clean look. My idea is to mount a simple 2 guage pod on the right side of my dash next to my existing cluster. Here is a picture of my existing dash:

The pod would be mounted on the side of the middle dash unit. Here is the pod I am thinking about. I plan to use a belt sander to angle the part that will contact the car a little bit so the guage angles just slightly toward the driver. It would be mounted sideways right next to the oil pressure guage:

Also, what other guage should I buy to fill the other hole? I am thinking either oil temperature, water temperature or air intake temperature.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

i guess i should have asked, whats wrong with your boost and egt gauge?lol in the pic, the boost gauge reads vac, egt reads temp. those gauge should be at 0 with the car off.

you are right tho, autometer is crap. im wishing i went with greddy or vdo for my gauges.

I am happy with the boost guage - its an electrical guage and has been very dependable and (presumably accurate). The EGT guage is working great too. I don't know about what it should read when its off as I have nothing to compare it to. The oil pressure guage I have no confidence in. Sometimes it reads 0 when I am coasting - then goes up to about 40 when I step on the gas. I know pressure increases with load but it should never read 0. Low pressure is what you look out for and, quite frankly, my guage makes it nearly impossible for me to use it for that purpose. I might go to a mechanical oil pressure guage. I wish I had bought Greddy too.
