HI guys......so here is the problem, I have a 97 GT convertible the clutch was going when I bought it so I bought a Centerforce Stage 1 clutch for it. I had it put in about 2-3 months ago. At first I thought ok, it needs time to break in. Well...... I still Can't feel the damn thing. Feels like it goes straight to the floor and back up....thats it. I cant even feel the release point in it ( even tried that with no shoes...nothing) SOOOO.....Is this me because i am so used to driving a cable clutch and just need to get used to it or with it being a Stage 1 should I be able to feel it and something is wrong with the clutch??? Please help!!

Im thinking a couple things. Did you properly break it in? Meaning were you agressive at all the first couple thousand miles? That could improperly break in the clutch.
Second, you cant physically feel the engage or release point in the pedal, you can only "feel" it by it disengage the tranny so your either moving or not moving. The straight to the floor and back up, thats what its supposed to do, I'm kinda confused by this one. Is it too easy to push in? Does it feel sloppy or slushy? You could need the line bled because theres air in it. -------------------- |
