My amp was installed by myself $250 save at least. and I mounted it on top of my sub box its an MTX 801D monoblock with no fans mad.gif its powering 2 10" thunder 7500s and its in my trunk (hatchback). Even when i'm going down the freeway at 80 with the seats down it still overheats then 5 min later i can turn it on again for like 10 min. How can i keep it from overheating?

not trying to be mean but you get what you pay for.....I know MTX isnt the cheapest but its pretty low on the scale when you could have probably saved alot of money.......I bought 3 10" audiobahns allready in box brand spakin new off the show room floor for 150 and paid 100 for my amp........oh yeah.....did you get a decent wiring kit like streetwires or did you go to your local walmart?
