Okay, I've got some info for anyone looking to replace their factory stereo but has the factory amp to contend with.
The factory wiring is located UNDERNEATH the amplifier and is attached by a plastic plug to the bottom of the amp. The factory wiring plugs into a big blue connector which then runs wires to the side of the amp. So you CAN use the standard 2 plug Toyota harness adaptor that's sold everywhere. I'll be putting in my new stereo in a month or so and I'll post a how-to on it complete with pictures. |

I did mine but i was too stupid to remove the trim. I just got my hands in there and worked the harness back and forth for like 15 minutes untill it came out. Cut my hand twice on a screw but at least i got it done right?
