the candian government is trying to increase the fish population, and thus boost the fishing economy, by decreasing the rapid growth of their main predetor, the seal.
Gross over fishing due to commercial fishing along with the ever growing seal population leads to less and less fish. So since they dont want to decrease fishing, they decrease the seal population. 1 million in 3 years is the max quota, though it is doubtful they will enforce that. And since full grown adult seals can be vicous, they go after the baby ones since they are docile and easy to kill. -------------------- Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it... |
