i know ill probably get bashed for this one but my dad wants to get dual exuast for his v6 solara and i was wondering how big the pipes should be he doesnt want it loud all the time like mine is so i told him id ask the peeps at 6gc cause i know u guys would know

well it depends what does he want, he cant just "want" a duel exhaust does he want the gains from it or the looks. if he wants more hp but keep it a sleeper then go for 2.5 with a set of quite mufflers. but yeah the header plays a big role, if you keep the stock headers you dont have to much to worry about, they will help restrict the flow, however if you put a set of nice headers and quite mufflers its gana get deep.
also is he getting a full duel exhaust or just duel pipes out of the facroty header (so it goes from 2 to 1 to 2) if its a full kit, and the 2 sides never meet then go with the smaller pipe because your only pushing out 3 chambers of smoke each, not 6.
