I have a convertible, so it might be a little bit different, but this is what I did:

The spare tire cover lifts right off. Where the trunk closes, there is a grey plastic piece that runs the width of the trunk. THis sort of wiggles and pulls up and out, there are metal clip/pegs that fit into holes. From there, for trunk carpeting that is behind the tail lights, there are plastic pegs you need to get out. Some unscrew with your hands, others wiggle or pull out. Don't pull on anything hard - they break easily. That is all you need to take the tail lights out because from there, you can fit a metric wrench in to take off the 3 nuts per light lens, but if you keep unscrewing the pegs, the carpeting will eventually come out. After you take out the back carpet padding, you can do the same to the sides.
