I was wondering if any of you who put in a push button starter used a relay or not. I know that with an actual S2000 button a relay is pretty much needed, but how about a button from Ignited ? one of these pictured

With the pushbutton starter there's no real reason to bypass the clutch start switch. And if you don't, like Batman says, it's just like turning the key to start when you push the botton. So you'd still need the clutch to be in.
And to answer your original question Batman, I would definitely use a relay. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
