im drivin a 2001 model astra atm,1.8L 4 cyl, its not mine thats y im loookin 4 a car,anyway wld anyone know how the stock celi matches up to an astra regarding performance/handling etc? id imagine they wld b pretty similar but im probably wrong as i havnt test drivin a celica yet..

I'll tell you now the only stock Honda I can think of that will outhandle a Celica is the NSX, Prelude SH, and maybe S2000. Kwanza26 is right about the McPhearson struts though they don't do the car justice, I couldn't tell you why Toyota made a car with as much potential as a Supra and they throw in half-assed equipment (mostly USDM). I will say the Miata will outhandle a Celica but it's a roadster, run it against an S2000 or Crossfire. If you want to bring in cars outside of the Celicas class I can say the Grand Prix GTP with Comp G will smoke most American cars around corners, i've driven them and they are quick for a boat. Slap on some 17" and good rubber and I would consider the Celica track worthy for handling.
