Ok I've noticed that pretty much everyone here that has done the 3sgte swap or is in the process of doing this swap has a FMIC. I want to know is that the best way to go? or is it that the 3sgte top mount IC won't let the hood shut?

Your hood should shut, (correct me if I'm wrong), but you wont get any cooling, hardly any air will get to it without a vent of some sort.
You can use the fmic off of a mk3 supra, it fits, you may have to cut your bumper a bit, but it's a good size. I would personally go with the fmic, because it would be more efficient than the top mount, and possibly less expensive. You can find a supra intercooler pretty cheap, and you could probably do the custom pipes yourself. --------------------
