i was going home 2day and my radio turned off (still had power just no sound0 at first I thought someone put it on mute or somethin, but then i turned the volume and no sound. Then it started to smell almost like nail polish. I think I either fryed the wires or my speakers, im hoping it was the speakers. So, any advice would be greatly appriciated. Also, is there anyway to test out what might be the problem without removing my radio o speakers. Im gonna check the fuses tomorrow and hope one of those blew, but I doubt it. Thanks guys.

You wont see sparks, the HU casing is grounded, as well as the antenna. That is an antenna connector, like i said before, my old car, now my bros car, has the same thing. If you trace it, youll find that it leads to the antenna or an antenna adaptor.
You need to unhook one speaker at a time at the harness; if nothing happens, reconnect it and try another. Left Front (+) Pink Left Front (-) Purple Right Front (+) Light Green Right Front (-) Blue Left Rear (+) Black Left Rear (-) Yellow Right Rear (+) Red Right Rear (-) White Those are the colors of the wires coming from the speakers, not necessarily coming out of your HU. EDIT: Didnt you have a red and blue wire disconnected? Could be speaker wires instead of power/remote.... This post has been edited by mikew04: May 11, 2005 - 9:30 AM -------------------- ![]() |
