Hey whats up guys. Got a question for u. Would it be gay to install a push button starter in my car. Keep in my that i have like nothin done to my car, except rims now. I found some good ones on ebay and one that i really like that has a flip switch that u flip first and then push the button. Still thinkin about the idea. Just thought that it would be kinda unique in the 6gc community. Tell me what you think. dont worry u wont hurt my feelings.

I will post my pics tomorrow. Those are good write ups too.
I have some info on the wiring, this should help anyone who want to install. You have to splice the white/black wire (ignition) for the start button. In the pics posted in Coomer's alarm how-to sticky you can see the wire in the harness in the dash. This wire is difficult to get to because you have to take apart the driver's side lower dash and other stuff just to get to it. DON'T BOTHER. take off your center consol (the plastic one in front of the radio and vents) and there is a vertical wire loom above the radio to the left. That loom contains the black/white wire needed to splice. It is very easy to find and get to with lots of room to work with. also a side note, if you cut the ignition wire completely and connect the button wire, ONLY the button will be start the car, NOT the last turn of the key. If you splice into the wire and connect the button wire to it (with the ignition wire still connected, BOTH button and/or last turn of the key will be able to start the car. you dig ? -------------------- |
