I really would like to know if they make a head unit that plays mp3s and stores them to the unit itself. I dont want a head unit that can play a cd with mp3s on it, but one that you can pop in the cd and upload it to some 20 gig hard drive or something, like an ipod except built into the car. I know that you can get an aux line, and i know that you can get players that use memory sticks, but i was wondering if they make them that they have built in storage. If there is such a thing, can anyone recomend anything? thanks.

i've currently got one of these
http://www.digmind.com/store/index_500.html (in the 60gb flavor) plugged into the aux on my alpine head unit. been thinking about getting another, but without a hard drive and then taking it apart and building it into a box that will fit under my head unit. most of my music is in 192kbps ogg-vorbis so xclef and iriver were the only options. |
