ok what would be the ideal weight if i'm goin to machine a flywheel for the 7afe
and
what does
"step +.018" mean?

i imagine a one peice wouldn't be as light as a two peice because there has to be a steel friction surface...if the flywheel is made of aluminum, the second peice would have to be a steel surface bolted to it. I installed mine myself..but, i had access to a lift, it would be harder on jackstands, but still do-able. Installation is exactly like a clutch with the addition of taking off the flywheel (eight bolts on a gt, six on an ST) and putting on the new one...io would suggest raplacing the clutch if you are close to neediing a new one so you don't have to do it twice/ pay for it twice.
