Couple of videos in there of a 3rd gen 3s being tested with the megasquirt and spark with the Ford EDIS Iginition setup which is probably what I'll end up running on mine when ever I find some time and money to get started.

That's pretty cool... I don't see the advantage of using EDIS, since MSnS can do spark with the stock stuff also, but cool.  Maybe I'll start posting pictures of my setup once It gets closer to getting done...

I think that using EDIS would be more reliable and simpler than modifying and rewiring the old fashioned cap and rotor. Fabbing simple brackets for the crank sensor and welding a 36-1 crank trigger to the pulley is simple stuff and seems to make tuning a whole lot easier. There must be a reason newer cars are becoming distributorless. smile.gif

What is your setup exactly? I'm sure we'd all love to see some pics. At least you have something started. It looks like I won't be able to begin for a few more months.

I think a 13.2 in a ST205 is going to need more like 340bhp at the fly.....

Actually it was in a mkII MR2 which weighs about 2800 lbs so using this calculator:
http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm
It ends up being quite close to my original estimate at the fly wheel. Of course not exact but not 340. I'm sure that 340 is pretty close for a GT4 though once you factor in the added drivetrain loss and weight of 4WD. Not that 4WD is a bad thing biggrin.gif
