Just got a quote for some maintenance items:
Replace Cap and Rotor Replace Fuel Filter Remove and Clean EGR Valve/vacuum hoses Replace valve cover gasket Add 1/2 pound freon $390 your thoughts? Any other imminent wear items to be replaced? Recently 15k miles ago: Replaced plugs Timing belts All fluids flushed and replaced (tranny, diff, power steer, and coolant) -------------------- ST204

The price above includes all parts and labor.
Also, got a quote which I'm putting off for fixing the emergency brake (the thing goes way up) for $220 parts and labor. My mechanic told me that there is a shoe on the Celicas that is separate from operating the calipers on the emergency brake. Is this true? He said fixing the emergency brake is not as simple as replacing or tightening the cable. True? -------------------- ST204
