I set the date today, the shops paint both is opening up and I jumped in. My car is going in Monday april 25th, in the morning. I have to work the night before so as soon as i get home, I'm gana strip it donw, put it on a trailer and drive it to the shop, I'm gana save about 400 because I'm taking the bumpers, tail lights, trim mirror and crap off so that they dont have too, and obviously I cant drive it like that.
what there gana do: - remove my fiberglass thats filling the wing holes, and fill it right (weld it iin) - smooth up my doors to a perfect surface - pull my "garage accident" dent out - fix a few more little rock chips/dents - go over the whole car and smooth everything else out - paint under the hood including the hood hinges to match - re-paint the whole car, end to end top to bottum. Final price $2700.00 I'm so excited about it, its gana look so nice, and the day I get it back (2 weeks after I drop it off) I'm gana put my kit on (it was painted by the same shop,) my new wheels, jdm tails, side turn signals, and get my intake done and in. Then send it off the the window shop to have it all tinted to the legal limit (I would have it done darker but I know I would have a problem with the cops if I did) also before I drop it I'm gana pull the dash peaces and primer/paint them up nice. I CANT WAIT! Its gana be the hottest little car in my area, well worth the money thats going/gone into it. Pic's ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I love the looks, its so nice. It seems like everyone just has to take a look at it. Its become my dream car. This post has been edited by creis: May 13, 2005 - 2:30 PM -------------------- ![]() |

Update:
today It went into the shop again, for 3 hours. I had it tinted (20%) cough **no legal** cough but 35% might as well be clear, anyway it looks great its so dark inside I like it. very well done, it was suppose to only take 2 hours but i guess my back window was really dirty so he scrubbed it all real nice (he does not use harsh chemicals only soap and water with a good scrubbing to protect the surface witch is why it took longer to do) anyway I cant roll the window down for 3 days untill it fully sets witch sux because tomarrow is gana be 80 degrees (but I have AC so its all good) He got the back window done with just one big peace so its perfect and the tint goes all the way to the edges on all the windows as well so there perfect. I went to Jays Tint & Style, in kirkland (totem lake really) a great small shop that does very good work (not well known) my sis had her civic done there a few years ago and its still perfect. (lifetime garentee just in case though) anyway I'm happy, plus my 5th gen turn signals are in the mail, and my new push button "pop out" key is too ![]() It was cool, when I picked it up he was saying how "refreshing" it was to do a as fixed up as mine thats not a honda, and talked for a sec about how I want a 5th gen all-trac motor, (he supports that over a turbo) -------------------- ![]() |
