anyone with body kits installed their body kit in with 3m double sided tape along with mounted screws?....some areas needed to be "taped" in to have a snug-fit look...any1 knows anyway around this other than molding?....i wanna mount a body kit but will wanna take it off to have it painted in the future....

HELP????

NO NO NO, you have to get the spacific double sided tape, SPACIFIC TYPE, not just any 3m dubble sided tape. go to a high end car shop or car paint shop. and ask they know exacly what you need.... those cheapy corrner car shops like auto zone dont carry the right stuff, just cheap off brands.

Its 3M Automotive 1/2 inch dubble sided tape in a clear plastic 6" x 6" snaping container, you only need one (you'll have enough) but the tape has a red peal away side. you'll know it when you see it. there about $12 each. (a fair price)

when i worked in a bodyshop, we used the 3m tape you described, and tape from another compancy called carborundem or something like that. came wtih the same red peel away side same packageing , worked just as good, lasted just as long, but was a couple dollars cheaper than the 3m. so if you can find the carborundem get it as it is cheaper, and is just as good as the 3m
