hey guys.. i need your collective knowledge of cars.

i believe audi was the first car company to put AWD into production cars. is that right?

when did ford first introduce variable valve timing in there production cars? i know honda started v tec in around 1992

what company first put turbos in production cars?

what are some awd american cars? not including trucks and SUV's.

what are some awd japanese cars? not including trucks and SUV's.

and your welcome to rant in this thread all you want...

Well the first 4x4 was probably some sort of Army transport I guess. Certainly the LandRover Defender was knocking around long long before Audi.

As for "cars" with 4wd, the Jensen Interceptorwas available with 4wd in about 1966 I think. So it predates the Quattro by some distance.

Nice car. Shame about the eye watering price tag.
