Automatic 4A-GZE, And the bashing begins... Options

I will be swapping an AE101 4A-GZE into my ST during the summer. Like the topic says... Was there ever a 4A-GZE with an automatic transmission??? Why? You may be asking. Because I love automatic because it's less of a hassle for me than manual here in Miami. Yes, I have driven manual before. I lived in Colombia for a while back and there's mountains over there. All they drive are stick shift Japanese cars. Mostly Toyotas and Mazdas. But anyway, I do think manual is more entertaining, you have more control of the engine and all that. When I drive my Celica now, I treat it as if it were stick shift when I want/need to. So besides the bashing, and s h i t talking about automatic being for p u s s i e s, etc. Was a 4A-GZE released with an automatic transmission at any point in time? And if so, what's the best place to find one? I doubt the 7A tranny bolts up to the GZE and if it does, it probably wont last long. Thanks.

That's not necessarily true... autos are easier to stay consistent with if you're doing bracket racing.

for his price range though he's better off with manual - automatics are only good tuned unless your opponent has a lesser vehicle than you - put it this way 2 cars equal in all things sans tranny - the auto will win if it's tuned correctly - http://www.levelten.com/ they make there fortune on it

i actually learned that reading about vette's lol - they recommend you buy the auto vette cuz chevy put 'em out stock with the tuned up tranny

oh and btw i feel your pain man i've got an auto and the swap just becomes that much more of a hassle
