there has been a lot of speculation about the apple announcement to move to intel processors and this article was a really interesting read

just wanna know what everyone thinks - i personnally can't wait to have a dual boot OSX / windows machine - i just hope apple takes into consideration amd sooner or later

Currently, apple owns 2% of the computer market. I think that this is a step towards the selling off of macintosh completely; I predict in a few years it will have been bought up and will no longer exist. Intel makes superior processors by far, and there is no arguement there at all. The only thing that macs have going for them right now is their uniqueness. O and btw, now that they've decided that they will be using intel chips, they also made the statement that osx was written with the intel chip in mind... something to think about there...
