Hey guys! So I went onto ebay and purchased 2x 12" alpine type S subs (tight budget) for 160 shipped. I also have a 800 watt MA Audio amp i bought from my friend.

Now it's time to build a box

Has anyone here made their own sub box? If so, what materials did you use, what design and dimensions did you use? Any help would be appreciated as I plan to get this project off the ground by tomorow, thanks guys!!

uh... right... anyway.... use 3/4th" MDF... build a box to the subs' specs.. are your subs dual 2 ohm or 4ohm? and whats the rms on that amp?

Meterials:

3/4" MDF
1 1/2" - 2" deck screws(go in easier)
silicone or liquid nails to seal the box up.(use latex gloves... can get messy and doesnt come off easy)

a drill(to pre-drill and to drill the screws in)

Jigsaw (to cut the holes for the subs, can be used to make the cuts)

circular saw(can also be used to make cuts)

you can pick up MDF at Lowes, Home Depot, places like that.., they can also cut it for you.

and take your time.
